I am getting married September 8th of this year and the venue is a farm. We will be outside for the ceremony and the reception is in a barn strung with fairy lights and romantic flowers. i am struggling to decide what to have my FH & his GM wear. I know for my MOH and bridesmaids they will be wearing long chiffon gowns of their choosing in the apple color from David’s bridal. ( My colors are blush and burgundy with lots of greenery to tie in the rustic feel ) my FH along with his GM are country boys and I don’t mind the idea of the jeans and a dress shirt cause I know it is supposed to be cheaper and more comfortable but i want this so be rustic and elegant... just don’t want it to take a turn and be too backwoods cause at the end of the day it’s a wedding. My FH says he would like to dress up but he will wear whatever I would like so I’m asking if you did jeans can you upload a pic or if you did a country wedding with suits or just the dress pants and vests? I need ideas and advice please!

Yeah see one reason why I picked long dresses for my girls is cause it is so elegant yet can be casual due to minimal make up and accessories. I really want this day to be look and feel romantic. seems like doing jeans will take everything to the direction I don’t want to go in.

I was at a wedding last year where the groom and groomsmen wore Jean's and button up shirts. The groomsmen were vests on top and the groom wore a blazer/suit jacket too. I dont know how fancy you are looking but it was nice.

My wedding is going to be very similar. I also thought to go with jeans but FH wanted the men to be a little more dressed up than that. So we opted for khakis, with vests and a button up, but no ties, just to keep it a little more on the casual side...

Exactly what my FH and his groomsmen are wearing. We looked at several ideas and he picked it out.

Hi! Was just curious how you went about getting vests? My fiancé and groomsmen are wearing jeans and boots. I’m just not sure how to go about the vests. I’ve looked at men’s wear house but some are very limited.

Hi Angela congrats on your engagement! I found men’s warehouse to be absolutely USELESS! my local store was 2 hours away and they weren’t helpful in the slightest. Kept trying to push looks on us and the most expensive products knowing we’re young and paying for everything ourselves. online was useless to me as well. products just really don’t seem to be worth the money for me! I got my bow ties, vest for my hubby, suspenders (for Groomsmen and ring bearer), my hair accessory and earrings, cake topper and so much more from amazon. I’m going to attach some screenshots. the bow tie was literally the exact color pictured and matched the bridesmaids perfectly, and the vest was extremely high quality. ill also attach some pics of what my bridal party looked like. Hope this helps!

Our reception is at a farm. Don't have any pictures yet, but groom's side is going to be wearing brown slacks, white shirts, and green vests with bow ties. FH will be wearing the same but also with a jacket.

Butting in, but if you want a wide selection of vests check out https://www.buy4lesstuxedo.com

That's where FH got the vests for his side.

This is what we went with. Dark jeans, white button down shirts, light tan linen vests and ties all from Mens Wearhouse. My husband wanted comfortable and something he would wear again. He even got the colors of the ties perfect to match my girls dresses.
