Rustic centerpieces

Tiffany, on September 20, 2019 at 8:35 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 22
We're having a rustic barn wedding that's early in the day. I've been thinking more about centerpieces, and I'm going to go the route of doing something with mason jars and wooden slices. We are serving breakfast food and the guest favors are bags of coffee and tea and hot chocolate. I saw this picture of tealights in jars of coffee beans. I love the smell of coffee. I was wondering if it would be a nice edition to the centerpieces. However we can't have open flame at the venue. Would it still look as charming with LED candles?

I still think LED candles would look good, some people may not even notice unless they're paying close attention. I plan on doing very similar centerpieces for our wedding, I LOVE the wood slices and mason jar look Smiley smile

That's such a good idea. I didn't light my candles at all and I had normal candles aha so I think led ones are fine

I think the LED lights will look great and no one will notice. Plus I think it would be safer in general than real flames.

Thank you! Same, I'm really excited about the mason jars. Also excited because I can reuse them after the wedding in my kitchen!

Ammo cans.. so cute! I'm considering lanterns. Supposedly our venue has a room of decorations we can use so I need to see what they have!

When your looking for the wood slices you are going to want to search for 'wood cookies' (just a fyi because it confused me at first lol)

I am finding a ton of stuff on Facebook sale sites and Craigslist, an online buy an sell site here in Oregon. I found the wooden rounds also. My niece used them for her wedding. Here's a photo for you. It might provide inspiration!

That is gorgeous. Dumb question but how did they get the lights to work on the wood? Battery?

I haven't figured that out yet. Once I mentioned the idea to my dad he seemed interested I'm trying to do the wooden slices for me. He found some wood logs on the side of the road but they were too old and the bark came off. We have 7 months to get it all together though, haha.

I think the coffee with the tea lights are so cute!!! I'm also having a rustic barn wedding. my centerpieces are wooden dics, mason jars with sunflowers & coral roses, with super cute cups that have lace and burlap on them. my candles with goin them. my venue also doesn't allowed actual candles so we will have flameless ones!
