Rubber ring during engagement

I don't see why that would be weird at all. A ring is a ring, the material doesn't matter. I wear a silicone ring to swim, go to the gym, etc.

Agreed - I don't think it's weird at all. My engagement ring had to be in the shop for almost a month while they were custom matching the wedding band, so I bought myself an Enso silicone ring as a placeholder. I still wear it in place of my e-ring to the gym, beach, pool, while doing yardwork - basically anytime I'd wear my ring but am worried about it getting damaged.

I wear mine when I clean or on weekends and I am not married yet. I don't see a problem with it.

I have a silicone ring and I wear it interchangeably with my engagement ring. I’m a nurse, so sometimes I don’t want to wear my real ring to work. I also switch it out when I’m playing sports or doing something where I may damage my ring (such as yard work). No one has ever said anything to me about it, and a lot of my coworkers do the same.

Not weird at all. FH & I just got silicone ones last week for whenever we have a need to wear them to protect our actual rings. He hasn't worn his yet, since he's not wearing his band until we are married, but I started using mine for work as soon as I got it (depending on what job I'm doing that day)

Not weird at all. I have one that I wear whenever we go on vacation so I don't risk losing my real one. I've also worn it when I'm worried about damaging my real one.
