Rsvps

My Fiancee's family has already stated that there may be issues with certain people only attending the ceremony due to mobility issues as well has memory problems for the more elderly side of his family. Is it rude to put on our RSVPs if they can only attend the ceremony, only attend reception, or both? We also have lots of couples with kids and it's a kid free wedding so we know some may have trouble with finding a sitter. There will also be a gap between ceremony and reception of about an hour and a half maybe less for pictures because we are not doing a first look.

Everything is at the same location and we will need to know this also due to chairs. We have to take chairs from the barn out and in the ceremony area and then back. So we dont want people to have to unload and reload more chairs than they have to.

I think that’s fine. For my own wedding I did that since I had ceremony and reception at different places and in my culture most people don’t attend the ceremony and I also had to rent chairs for the ceremony so I needed a better head count

I'd just assume anyone coming will be there for the entire function unless you're specifically told otherwise. A lot of people with those issues have good days and not so good days and can't really predict them. You don't want someone feeling they can't stay for the reception if they're having a good day but opted out because they felt pressured to decide weeks prior.

They really cant though. His grandfather gets antsy anywhere that's not his home after about 2 hours and were having a decent gap between ceremony and reception. His uncle has already stated hed drive them home then come back.
