Rsvps

What is the best way to help keep track of rsvps?

Do you have them call? Email? Website? I need help.

We had a wedding website that kept track of all of the RSVP's (we did electronic RSVP's)

Our guests are to return the rsvp card in the addresses and stamped envelope to us. As I receive them back I mark yes or no in the spreadsheet I made. It’s basically all inclusive, rsvp number, name, address, number invited, number attending, etc. I have a formula in the rsvp column that tally’s the accepts and declines for me.

I think it really depends on what you prefer. Are you more organized with having the physical RSVP cards? Or do you use a computer to keep track of everything? If you prefer paper, include RSVP cards (along with a pre-addressed and pre-stamped envelope) with your invitations for guests to mail back. When setting your RSVP deadline, allow a few extra days for cards sent on the day of the deadline to be processed through the mail. You could also use the RSVP cards of those who accepted to help figure out your seating chart. If you prefer tracking everything online, you could use the RSVP feature on the wedding website either through The Knot or Wedding Wire! This way, you can access the information from anywhere, and you get their response immediately.

We also did a wedding website to track. This was super helpful since we had a few events to track.

We did it electronically through our wedding website on Minted. It is the best thing as we didn’t have to pay for extra postage, rsvp card, and keep track.

We had rsvps online and by mail. I just kept a spreadsheet and every time we got a yes back, I would highlight the name green and when we got a no back, I would highlight the name red.

Figure out what works for you. Some people find an online spreadsheet to be helpful. Google Sheets has a free wedding planning template with one of the pages being for guests. You can manually update it as they reply. Withjoy and Rsvpify keep track of online rsvps.

I had everyone respond to a wedding email. Saves a lot on extra cards, postage, hassle, keeping track. I know websites also keep track for you but mine is a small wedding and was easy to manage. I also find that no matter what you do, people still just don't rsvp. Smiley sad I think that's the biggest stressor so far of my planning.

We have a wedding website that tracks and requests attendee information, but we also have the mail-in for people who choose to go that route. On the mail-ins, we are using the UV light pen to write a number on the back, very small, that coordinates with our spreadsheet, just in case they write something silly or we simply can’t read the handwriting.

We're using RSVPify.com, I put a QR code in the invitation that guests can scan, or they can just type in our web address. We chose this so we can ask guests questions during their RSVP (are they vaccinated, do they have food allergies/intolerances, etc.). So far it's working out well!
