Rsvps

Jessica, on June 2, 2020 at 8:17 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
I know that many people don’t currently feel comfortable about going to a wedding with the virus but I want to give my guest the option of coming in person or virtually how should I word the invitation and rsvp so there is no confusion of who is coming...

    Hi Jessica!

Maybe you can add on the invite after time, date and location:

"Or you may join our live stream at __________(provide link).

Then on the RSVP you can still have "decline" and "accept ___ of ___ attending" for those joining physically but then you can also add the selection of "live stream".

You'd still be able to keep track of those who will attend in person. I hope this made sense and helps.

    Thanks
With the virus and everything, I want people have the choice to come or not... I have many people that are so worried and then trying to narrow the guest list when so many want to come in the first place... this whole thing was supposed to be a happy time and instead has been a trial like many other brides...

    You're welcome.

Yes! Everyone ends up finding one way or another to accommodate different plans. Like you, do a live stream and others just went intimate/elope and then have a big day later on. There's a plan for everyone and I wish you the best of luck with yours!

This is a great idea. My FH and I want a small wedding due to both COVID and budget. But we both have large families. I have an even larger extended family that we are actually close/involved. I love presenting the option up front in preparation for COVID still being an issue in the future.

Thank you Jessica for asking this question!

Thank you. I hope it comes in handy for those who are in the same boat to plan a live stream.
