Rsvps...

Is this a crazy statistic or...? i feel like usually at least 15-20% decline. what were others’ statistics like? i was expecting about 160-175 but looks like we’re going to have almost the amount we invited 😂

The bad thing is when people rsvp but then don't show up.

Is your wedding local to a majority of guests? I think those tend to have much higher acceptance rates.

We invited 45 people and had 39 come which put it at that 15%. We had two people who RSVPd yes and then couldn’t come, which would have put it at 9% no had they showed. It is normal for a portion to not come that RSVP yes.

That seems about right. It seems crazy, and there's always people you think will definitely come that don't. We had a few RSVP and just not show up (like 7-8), which was super frustrating. Fortunately, we didn't have anyone show up who wasn't invited. But 15-20% is about right for declines.

I don’t think this is true, we had zero no shows and most of my friends have not had any no shows as well.

Perhaps in some! Always best to prepare for them to come but life events do happen

We invited 175 and had 118 RSVP and show up, so we were on the opposite side of the spectrum! We had a 33% decline rate and expected closer to 15-20%. You never know what you’re going to get!

We invited 225 and had 125 attend and 1 no-show. But we had a ton of out of state guests, elderly guests & guests in the military so we expected a lot of "no" responses.

We had 96% accept. I, like you, figured 20% would decline. It stressed me out at first because I was not expecting so many people to accept lol. And we only had 2 people not come and they let us know a few days before the wedding (illness). We did not have any actual "no shows".

We were told to expect anywhere from a 60-80% attendance rate.

I kind of hope its closer to 60%. Which I guess is kind of rude. But at the same time we invited so many family members that we barely talk to..because they're family.

I know what you mean. I’m hoping for 65% lol. Less $ on food and drinks!
