Rsvps

Janae, on September 11, 2021 at 6:05 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
Hello ladies me again lol

So my deadline for Rsvps is next week on the 18th. Out of 34 I've only got 7 back, should I send people a reminder? Or should I just wait n reach out to people after the 18th?

Most people do wait until the last minute to respond lol.
And do expect for a number of people who don’t rsvp at all.
Give it a coupe of days, then reach out to those who did not rsvp.
Our rsvp date was last Friday and almost all of my family members did not rsvp because it’s not a thing they do at weddings. Even to this date I’m missing a few and we’re less than two weeks away 🤦🏻‍♀️

We started reaching out before the RSVP date to our friends and the people were close with. It slipped most of their minds to actually RSVL most of them assumed we knew they were coming. So I don't see any harm in sending out a reminder

I would send a friendly reminder text that the deadline is approaching. If they’re anything like me, they’ve lost track of time and the deadline has creeped up on them without them realizing it. Plus, a friendly reminder before hand can serve as a “first warning”. That way, if they still miss the RSVP deadline, you only need to reach out to them once as a “second and final notice” that if you do not get a response from them by X date, you will mark them as not attending.

None of my family members have and one of my fiances did. I guess they just assume we know they are coming. I guess I could of saved a lot of money on invites if I would of know they didn't need one lol

Would it be tacky to do a private post on fb n tag everyone on there to remind them?

You will get several in the mail on the due date. As soon as you get those counted, start in immediately that afternoon contacting guests who have not replied. If they don’t confirm a yes or no when you call, then count them as a no.

I know have 8 rsvps lol N for some reason people are reaching out to other guests to tell them if they are going or not. Instead of reaching out me! If I would have know people weren't going to sent them back I would of saved my money on invitations and RSVps. So frustrating.

I did this and it ended up being necessary - most people had forgotten. If you do it before the deadline, it might be overkill to do it right afterwards. Try to be as patient as possible but its definitely a "know your crowd" type thing.
