rsvps

Mik, on November 22, 2019 at 1:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Ettiqute for online RSVP? I'm not planning on doing stationary RSVPs(except for my grandmother). I figured I should just send out my wedding website url and the password to access the site. I feel that is alright, but then part of me is worried it is to relaxed. Advice appreciated.

We did online only RSVPs. We just put it on our details card with our invitations.

We're doing online only. Too much paperwork with paper!

I'm going to be doing both just because I do have family members who are older that don't know how to use a computer.

We're doing online RSVPs and ordering invites this month. We put the URL on the details card with verbiage along the lines of "Please RSVP at our website by March XX, 2020" and then listed the website.

We did this too. Saves money, and trees, and makes things more convenient for everyone! I don’t think anyone minded. And I do think having an online INVITATION does lower the formality of the event, but I don’t think an online RSVP has that same effect.

We did both. I"m glad I did the online route to, because out of the 75 invites we sent out we got 7 back, 7. Well 8 if you count the one I got two days AFTER the wedding with no guest name on it LOL I think it's fine in this day and age as long as you do what you're doing for people like your grandma

The wedding I was invited to with online RSVP mailed a nice/formal 1 piece invite that had all the normal invite details and then at line at the bottom that said “please rsvp at [url] by [deadline]” — I thought that worked great . It was my first time encountering the concept and I did spent a minute looking for an rsvp card, but read back through the whole invite and noticed the info!
