Rsvps not coming back vs procrastinating

Lindsey, on April 19, 2018 at 8:29 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
We made return envelopes with our return address printed and stamps on them for every invite. Someone told me yesterday that there’s got returned and another person told my FH he sent last week and we still haven’t gotten it back and his friend never got it returned to him. I have gotten probably 20 successful via the mail but I’m stressing that we are not getting RSVPs people are sending.
Or they are just saying that they sent them and really are just procrastinating?
Anyone else have these issues?

never knew how much I disliked our mail man till all this - I am pretty sure he skips our house and waits for a lot of mail before delivering my mail : I go days without no mail and then the day he comes my box is stuffed

Your guests are likely procrastinating. Our RSVP date was Tuesday and we are still missing 41 people.

Things tend to get lost in the mail a lot...give it some time. Some will try to reply on time, and some, unfortunately, won't even bother to send their RSVP in. Just be patient, and it'll be fine! Anyone you don't hear from, just call and get a response!Smiley smile

I got a $3 wedding invitation sample stolen off my porch, which has NEVER happened before. I had a giant fit/overreacted BIG TIME, and almost ripped USPS a new one. In the end, Minted gave me $10 off my invitation order once I bought them because of what happened.

I've been getting someone else's medical bill recently, too. The only things this person and I have in common are our last name and street name. House # and even apartment # are not even close. How do you confuse "247" for "151," and "Apartment 2" for "Apartment 3??" Our mailbox has a giant "3" on it, so no excuses! If it happens for the 3rd time this month...Smiley amazing

One of my friends didn’t get her invite. My guests have until Saturday to rsvp and I’m still missing 20.

We are waiting on 59 but we have two weeks left still .
i sent most things to my moms house (amazon, packages) because I live on a main road and my entrance to my apt is really close to the street . She has a locked mail box so I feel safer.

They aren't even due for two weeks, that's why I am worried--- why say you sent when you still have time to send ?

My guests are doing this too I think. Some people wait until the due date of the RSVP to make sure they get time off, have sitters for kids, etc...and sometimes they are just pure lazy. I did the same as you and put the return address, stamp..literally all they have to do is fill out the card, put it in the envelope and seal it up then shove it in the mail with the flag up! I'm waiting for half of mine to come in and they have 3 more weeks. It's rough being patient. Truly it is. I want to know how many people are coming so I can figure out how much we still owe the venue.

I don't know much about RSVPs (I'm not nearly there yet), but OMG can I identify with the USPS issues!

I've had an Amazon box stolen from in front of my townhouse last week (Amazon refunded, thankfully), and our post office/postal workers are super lazy. Something goes out for delivery in the morning, and then tracking updates at like 7 at night and it says "package held at customer request". Um no, I request that you bring my mail to me darnit. Or "could not deliver, notice left" (no notice left at all). They act like it is up to them whether or not they deliver the mail. Like it depends how they're feeling that day. I'm just really not a fan of the flat out lying that they do.
