Rsvps don’t have names!

Brianna, on November 6, 2019 at 11:27 PM Posted in Planning 0 4
And I didn’t realize it until after I sent them out. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Luckily everyone but 2 people have written their names in, and one of those people lives in a place where the postmark made it obvious who the RSVP was for. Today I got the first one that I have no idea who the rsvp is for...but at least I know they want beef?
We sent out 40 invites and have gotten 12 back. So far I have enjoyed getting them, but now I am dreading having to be like “hey, so did you RSVP to our wedding?”. I can’t be the only one this happened to, right? Are there any tricks to handle it?
Disclaimer: one of my bridesmen (my 13YO son) broke his leg today, so I acknowledge this May feel like less of a big deal after some sleep. Poor kid is gonna be wearing a cast under his suit.

Omg sorry about your son, luckily he’s young and would find a way around it to make it light.
Our invitation designer told us is very common for people not to write names so suggested we put the names in the back in pencil or some reference very small. My planner site gave us a number/code for all guests or as a family so I used this 3 digit number and wrote it small in pencil in the back. Luckily only need it once but it was handy.

I would just wait until your deadline passes. When you start reaching out to non-RSVPers, you'll have someone who says they sent theirs in. Then you can say "Oh! Yours must have been the one with no name!"

This happened to us, but we were able to figure it out rather easily because we had made a Facebook event and the person had originally RSVP'D attending then changed it to not attending so when we got the RSVP it was the same way so we knew it belonged to him. He actually ended up attending afterall as his brother's date. His brother's girlfriend was supposed to attend, but they broke up last minute so he came in place of the girlfriend. He didn't think he could attend because he was having surgery right before the wedding and he didn't want to make us pay for him if he wasn't feeling okay by the wedding. He felt better by the wedding so he was able to attend afterall.
