RSVPify.com - would you? Have you?

Taryn, on February 19, 2015 at 6:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

I'm thinking of doing this. It would be quicker to receive RSVPs, and less to haggle with.

Have you/would you?

I would include a small card with the invitation that said to go there and RSVP.

We did online RSVP's on here via out website. It worked great, I would recommend it. We sent traditional reply cards to our computer illiterate guests.

We did online RSVP but we did not use RSVPify.com we used AnRsvp.com and it worked like a charm. No hassle.

Nope. Everything today is done online and with computers that I think its nice to actually have a tangible item held in your hand...it makes things seem more personal.

We did not use that site, but we have the RSVP on our website and for the those ones that do not use a computer we asked them to call.

We did online RSVP and I'm SO GLAD that I didn't waste my money on traditional rsvp cards because when I started contacting people to get their rsvps most of them were like "oopse, I forgot." or "Oh... I thought you knew I was comming?" So cards would have been a complete waste of money!

Our rsvp cards ask people to respond via email or phone. We know our crowd and we know most people would respond that way anyhow so we didn't waste the money for envelopes or postage for the rsvp cards. The few older people we are inviting, will call or tell us in person.

Elle how has it worked out so far? Are quite a few people using the RSVP online?

That's what I have gone with and I'm still a little nervous about it! :/

@Mrspope I thought about the computer illiterate but couldn't think of really that don't use the computer, even my grandmother's get on facebook more than I do.

I did a card but like Elle, couldn't come to terms with all those stamps getting wasted. Like Maltese said everything is done online now..so my card looks like this

    Hey Taryn,

We are moving before we get married in September, so we couldn't have people mail back RSVPs in case they got lost in the mail. We are using our wedding wire website as the RSVP option. I included a card in the invite to let them know what day they need to RSVP by, and then told them to respond online.

Most people know how to use the internet, or know somebody who can fix them up and get it sorted out! Don't waste your money on extra postage and envelopes Smiley smile We didn't!

We are using our wedding website for guests to RSVP and phone. I have a feeling RSVPs will be a mix of both along with a few in-person RSVPs. As long as they respond, I don't mind.

I used RSVPify for my wedding and i would NOT recommend it. it's quite clunky, feels like it was made in the 1990s in terms of layout and features. very not intuitive to use. if i need to update guests rsvps for them, it's hard to figure it out. when it comes time to assign tables, the list it gives u is sorted only by the rsvpify table number, not your actual assigned table number, no option to parse guest names, no option for comma delmiited files. also, file sharing did not work when i tried to share administrative duties with my fiance, so he ended up using my userid and password. overall, not worth the $30 they charge. probably the free ones from theknot or weddingwire will give you as many features for $0.

We absolutely LOVED using RSVPify!! We included the RSVP url on our regular invitations and also put the RSVP form on our website which we used Squarespace for. RSVPify was so easy to use and to customize everything...and it didn't feel like a tacky "e-vite" or service like that. I was able to collect all my RSVPs for all of my weddings events in the same RSVP form, so we ended up collecting the RSVPs for our rehearsal dinner and a after party just for our close friends. Loved the seating chart tool too, but wish they also had an Android app.

This is exactly what I'm wanting to do. How did it turn out? Was your guest confused? Are you glad you did it? How did you like using rsvpify?

Too complex, not enough/very few templates, way too time-consuming for generic event planning. Customizable to a fault (not enough templates to use for quick completion of a project). No free trial offered. Poor marketing of plans--especially after researching and seeing reviews--definitely not worth the money. Tailored to businesses, although their marketing doesn't make it appear that way. Go with a website that actually has a free trial, a website that is simpler to navigate, and a customer service department that is direct and actually willing to hear you out and assist. I bought a plan up to see what it was like, didn't like it, contacted them within 5 day period, didn't email the CORRECT person on their customer service team, and they still weren't willing to work with me or give a refund. Biggest waste of time and money. Would not suggest to anyone. I use services like this often and I am fairly computer savvy (or can work with something until I figure it out), but I would never use this website again. Not helpful and you can find way cheaper options that are faster to navigate. If you are looking for something customizable and fun, but also looking for assistance, this is not the source whatsoever. I'd never use this for my wedding.

Based on what I saw of the site and tutorials, I would definitely use this an option in addition to paper reply cards.
