Rsvp...via email or mail?

Melissa , on September 24, 2016 at 6:57 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

Looking for ways to save pennies....is it ok to just have an email account for people to rsvp instead of sending self addressed stamped envelopes with the invitation

You could but it could end up being more of a mess. I thought of this but I'm just sucking it up and spending the money on stamps

You could do it just make sure you set up a email address spefically for your RSVPs. Do yourself the favor and also type them on a word document as you receive them. You always want to have stuff like thay saved in more than one place.

I loved the online tool. Saved money and it was super easy.

I used an online tool and had an email address in case it was to complicated for non-tech savy people. It's worked out well and the tool has put everything in a spreadsheet for me which was AWESOME!

We had online RSVPs for our wedding, but since some of our VIP guests- like DHs father & aunt and my grandfather don't even have computers, we provided mail back and online. Surprisingly, only like 5 people (literally) used the online tool. Maybe because we provided the mail back option, but it appeared no one even went to our wedding website based on all the questions we got via text about information such as accommodations, which was all on the website. Go figure.

I did RSVP's through our wedding website. I know that WW has this as a feature on their free websites too! It was really convenient. I didn't want to spend all the money for stamps & then have people not use them. It worked really well for us. Good luck! ETA - spelling

Do it the old fashion way! Its going to be a big pain if you have guests. Otherwise show up that said they RSVPED and didn't

Do both. Better to be safe than have unexpected surprises.

You could but it's a pain to go back and open all the email then make a list ect. We're using the RSVP on the wedding site here and it works out well! Just add your site to the invite for guests.

One Idea I'm toying around with is setting up a google voice account and providing the number in the invitation packet informing people to RSVP by calling the number and leaving a voicemail. I saw the idea on a website and it seemed like a nice and easy way to save on postage. I'm going to track the RSVP's on an excel template on google drive.

The WW website has a free online RSVP feature. I would find something like that instead of going the email route.

I worked a little HTML magic and put a Google form on our website.
