rsvp return address

Casey, on June 14, 2018 at 1:28 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

How do I address the return envelopes for the rsvp cards? My invitations are saying "Mr and Mrs (parents names) invite you to the wedding" , so are they addressed back to my family?

Even if your parents are hosting, you shouldn't put the burden of tracking RSVPs on them. I'd have them returned to you, and you keep track and do any necessary follow-up, because it's your wedding.

We put "The Future Mr. & Mrs.____________" for our return address.

The RSVP return envelope should have the address of whomever is organizing the responses - keeping track and following up. If your parents are, then it should be them. If you are, it should be you.

Ours says ‘together with their families’ but I wanted to get the RSVPs - i bought a cheap stamp on Etsy so I could easily stamp our return address on invites and stamp the rsvp envelopes. Good luck!

My parents are hosting, so FH and I discussed with them if they wanted to get the RSVPs sent to them or sent to us. My mom stated she wanted them so we went with that.

Traditionally whoever is hosting should receive the RSVP's. Their return address should also be used for the outer envelope.

I think it's whatever house you are sending the RSVPs back to. In our case, we are getting the RSVPs sent to our house and our invites say "bride & groom, along with their families, ..." instead of my parent's names. So the return stamp we got has our first names and address of our home.

You put the address of whoever is keeping track of the RSVPs. Normally, that's you. The only time it would be your parents would be special circumstances, e.g., you're having the wedding in your parents' home town, and they are dealing with the caterer.

Our says "together with their families" and our return address will be just our first names then address. It doesn't make sense to send them to parents but we have been together for 6 years now.

Both of our parents are paying for the wedding, but I’m doing most of the vendor contacting. Therefore I am having the rsvp sent to me because eventually the caterer will need a headcount.

I like the stamp idea! I’ll have to remember this!
