rsvp Reminder Email Wording

Selena Ariel Kyle , on September 30, 2018 at 2:56 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 18
Hello,
My electronic RSVP due date has passed. Does anyone have any suggestions for wording a reminder to RSVP email?

Maybe forward the original invite and say something like “Hello Family and Friends! Just a friendly reminder that RSVP’s are due ASAP. If you have any questions/concerns regarding your RSVP please feel free to reach out to me at (put whatever form you prefer). Thank you all so much!” Not sure on your style of the invite or wording but hope this gets you thinking Smiley smile

I’m just going to call people, tell them I need to know right now if you’re coming so that I can let the caterer know. If you can’t tell me now, I’ll assume you won’t be coming.

I sent out a text. My wording was generally... "SOMEONE didn't RSVP. Not naming names or anything but..." To which I got the immediate Oh crap! response. 🙂

I would do a call rather than an email. You just never know if the email didn’t get to them due to their email address changing or them not checking that particular email anymore etc. Since you need an answer like NOW lol a call may get you an answer faster.

Call them, a real human voice, not a message in cyberspace. Ask for the information now, over the phone. You then add it to RSVP list and meal count. Since past date, you need to know, now.

"Good morning! Just checking in with you, we haven't heard from you and our RSVP by date has passed. We are getting our final counts together for venue, catering, and bar. Please let me know if you can make it to our wedding or not, if we don't hear from you in a week, we will unfortunately count you as a no. Thank you!"

We did electronic too and wound up having to contact about 15 people. I would directly contact them either by phone or text and not email. In the end we still had 5 who never responded. Annoying.

It's over 15. In going to try email one more time to try and decrease how many calls or texts. Then next week do calls and texts.

This one. I would definitely give them a hard deadline to respond.

I did electronic as well and only a couple people have responded. I'm going to have to send out reminders to almost everyone that was invited. Smiley sad

We did electronic too. Paying for postage on the physical RSVPs was just too much.

We still have a month left to RSVP, but a few of my friends keep saying "I keep forgetting to RSVP!" Which they typed...on their phone...where they could just go online and RSVP. haha Its honestly just funny. Oh, and they volunteer this information. I'm not reminding people yet. Our wedding isn't for 2 months lol

I love the message. I will definitely use this. We spoke with few people who told us that they will definitely be there but no rsvp yet 😓.
