RSVP Oops

xray12280, on March 29, 2017 at 8:42 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 16

I was finishing up my invites to mail out tomorrow. On the last one before I sealed it I decided to make sure the rsvp envelope was stamped. Nope, it was not. So how many others did I miss?!? A few months ago I went through and stamped them but now I can't remember if I did all of them or not. I'm going to be the bride that everyone gets on WW to talk about because I f'd up etiquette and didn't stamp everything. I'm such an ass!

Breathe. Will it matter in 5 years? No one will remember.

My mom and my FILs envelopes weren't stamped. Didn't realize it until they told us. We've gotten most of our RSVPs back and all the ones we've gotten have the stamp we used but ugh I'm worried about the ones we haven't gotten yet.

Gave my FH ONE job and this is what happens lol

Envelopes get thrown away once opened, don't worry about this detail. Smiley smile

Breathe. At the end of the day, it will work out. Your envelope with still ship, your guests will still know to contact you with their RSVPs, and you will be marrying your best friend! I would probably be freaking out as well, but it is nice to remember that this too shall pass.

Thanks for the reassurance. Im do glad I'm not the only one to have forgotten a stamp or two!

I'm going to try and peel the stamps and put them in the correct corner, luckily that's the only one I stamped the wrong corner!

If I got an invitation in the mail with no stamp on the RSVP envelope, I'd probably say "huh, that's weird" and slap a stamp on it myself. No big deal!

It was an accident. Not the end of the world. Personally If I woils receive a RSVP to a wedding that wasn't stamped I wouldn't be upset about it. I feel that it is petty to be upset over something so minor.

I did that too, luckily I was only 10 in until I realized it! FH and I had to blow dry the seal to get the glue sticky to unpeel! It'll be okay, don't stress it!

Nbd, everyone makes mistakes. It sounds like you probably hit most of them and anyone without a stamp probably has one laying around they can use. I know I basically never mail anything, but always keep a book of stamps on hand.

Some of our envelopes came unstuck or we forgot to seal all of them? It was a disaster. There's nothing you can do you just have to let it go. Your invitees know you're human and make mistakes. Shit happens. Don't stress it.

We missed rsvp and stamping them! We haven't had any problems with people saying things that some weren't stamped. Don't worry about it!!! Also, hopefully it makes you feel better, I forgot to actually stamp the full envelope for the invitation for about 8 invites. We just laughed about it and out them in new envelopes and put stamps on them this time!!!

Online RSVPing, is the norm in our family/social circle. No stamps, no worries ...

Breathe! You're human it's ok to make mistakes, we all make them. FH aunt complained to me that she didn't get her invite 2 days after I sent them out. And when she did get it she complained again that I put the wrong zip code. Wanna know what I did? Especially after I hand wrote every single invitation. Envelopes and all.

    I did absolutely nothing! Haha

    ETA: forgot a sentence.
