rsvp on your website Q...

If you choose to do RSVP on your website vs adding cards to your invitations... Do you know if you can let guest know how many seats are reserved for their family? We are not inviting kids under 10 so I need them to know we have 2 seats reserved for them, not 4....etc...

I used Zola and we had to put in either names or guests. So if we put in a person and guest, they could only RSVP for those two people.

Mine for The Knot was the exact same! It split it up into households too, so if I wanted to RSVP for my FH and I, I could type in my name, and be able to RSVP for myself and FH, but I am not able to add anyone, since the couple inputs the guest list, no other guests can be added.

I used With Joy and it let me add exactly who could RSVP and to the two guests we gave a plus one to, they were able to add the name of the plus one. I found that website easiest to use and had all the functionality and options we wanted.

We did paper rsvps. I got the design from etsy and it had a line on it that read " blank # of seats of out of blank". We filled in the second blank with how many seats we were giving the family so, for example, blank # of seats out of 2. They fill in the first blank with how many out of the 2 are actually coming. I also printed an invitation insert and listed everyone's name in the family that was invited at the top, so they know that only "Bob" and "Ruth" are invited and not their kids. With electronic rsvps, I don't think there is a way to indicate how many seats you reserved for them. However, the rsvp link is connected to your electronic guest list, and they won't be able to find their kids name when they go to rsvp, so they will know (hopefully) that their kids aren't invited.
