RSVP on the website

Mary, on November 1, 2017 at 1:40 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hey all. Not sure if this is the correct area to post this but I can't figure out how to get in touch with anyone from this site to ask. On the RSVPs I am sending out I am asking people if they have food allergies that we need to be worried about, what song should be played that would get them out on the dance floor, and if they are staying at the inn we are having the reception. I would like to know all these things for some obvious reasons and so I can make welcome bags.

I cannot for the life of me figure out if I can do a section for these questions to be answered on the wedding website RSVP section. Does anyone know if I can do this and if so how?

Also a few people have told me they think that most people with RSVP online, what is the etiquette for stamps then if we think most will do it online? Do I have to provide stamps for all the RSVPs? I think I should be my future husband thinks we shouldn't do stamps on all of them. I am referring to stamps to send them back to us.

Check out anrsvp.com, they allow asking custom questions on your RSVP. I'm doing online RSVPs through that site and my invitations do not include stamps or envelopes for RSVPs to be mailed back.

If you have a lot of non-tech savvy relatives, you may want to have an alternative option for RSVP (mail or phone). But I think most people these days can figure it out.

I am sending the normal RSVP and have found one that I like that they can fill in all the normal stuff and a spot to answer my questions. So people will have the mail in option and I will provide the envelope. I just wish there was a way using wedding wires RSVP to have those additional questions

It depends on which site you're using to RSVP. I used Minted for my wedding website and RSVP and they had sections where I could add fillable boxes for responses from guests (meal choices, if they were using the shuttle or not, etc). For stamps, it's all or nothing. Stamps on all RSVP envelopes if you're doing them.

Hi Mary! You've set up your RSVP page correctly!

The best way for guests to indicate food allergies is to include a note with their online RSVP. We recommend including this prompt in the RSVP instructions - which you've already done!

You can also add a song request section (which you have already added to your RSVP page). This way your guests can suggest song requests, and you can export all of the requests!

For accommodation information - you can also include this in your RSVP instructions for guests to leave a comment with their accommodation info, or you can add the hotel as a separate event for guests to RSVP for. If you have a room block at your inn you should also be able to ask them for a list of rooms booked under your wedding so that you can get an accurate welcome bag count!
