I am so very frustrated. We had our wedding last weekend, and a bunch of people who rsvp didn’t show up for stupid reasons: my sister who rsvpd for 8 didn’t show because she was stuck in traffic, my other sister and her boyfriend didn’t show cause they slept in, my husbands friend didn’t show cause she was tired from working, my friend didn’t show cause she forgot,etc. I am so frustrated because we had bought food and planned for these people and to not show up is frustrating. Anyone else??

I’m sorry your sisters didn’t go to your wedding. I can’t imagine.
About ten years ago I didn’t go to my bosses wedding, even though I RSVPd. I feel guilty still to this day. It was a Friday night and traffic into Boston was crazy. I couldn’t get there. Bad excuse, but when it’s a big city it happens. Poor planning on my part, though. I should’ve left earlier.

That really sucks. I hope you were still able to have fun without them. Was it an "informal" wedding? I don't understand how someone could just sleep though it. Im sorry!

I don't understand how people just don't show up... I was about a half hour late to my friend's wedding and I ended up missing the ceremony unfortunately, but I still went even once I realized I was going to be late.

I do not blame you for being upset but for those relationships I would question your relationships with these people. Did you have a good day? Did you and your FH have fun on your wedding day? While you have every right to be frustrated I would not give these people power over being upset over such a beautiful day.

OMG! I'd be upset too. Sorry that happened to you. Our wedding isn't until next year but our ceremony is also really small so who know if everyone will still show up. We will have a bigger reception and I'm worried some might not want to show up solely for that but I guess we'll see what happens.

I would be pissed! Luckily for us most people have to travel, so its harder to be a no show if you already have plane tickets and hotel rooms.
