rsvp Info on back of invite - They are already printed

Charis, on February 1, 2018 at 7:47 PM Posted in Planning 0 21

I had my invites designed and printed via Minted. I wasn't even thinking and had the wedding website and RSVP printed on the back so that the print wouldn't be tiny on the front.

There's a design on the back, as you can see from the photo, so maybe people will flip them over...?

Or... Odd thought, Should I put the invites into the envelope with the back facing forward so that it's the first thing they see when they open it. And since it doesn't have much info they are then more likely to flip it over.

Thoughts? Am I over thinking this? (probably)

I would stuff the envelopes so backs are facing out , but I don’t think it will be a huge deal. You’ll track them down eventually if they can’t figure out how to rsvp.

for what it’s worth I recently got an invite that had the rsvp url on the bottom , just a plain one page invite and I missed the rsvp part entirely until I realized there wasn’t an rsvp card so I looked back over the invite til I found that info haha

I stuffed mine with back facing out because I needed my guest to see a message. BTW, your invites are beautiful!

I think it should be fine! I think if i didn’t see an rsvp card, i would flip the invite over looking for more info! The writing is very clear on the back and not hidden at all either Smiley smile

I concur back facing out so they see it first. They can then flip over to see the invite but that way they don't miss there is a back.

Everyone who has recieved my invite (and a few have oppened it infront of me) automatically glanced at the front, glanced at the back, read the front, and then read the back. Out of habit I always look at the whole invite too. I think you will be fine!

Definitely put the back facing out so they see that first. It should be okay but in case you are still worried you could create a free wedding website and have people rsvp there as well. Although that could also cause more confusion having to check both... honestly back facing out should do the trick well enough. Stick with that. Smiley smile

I have a habit of turning things over to check the back for anything, too many times have I thought I was done with a test and of course there's a back part I didn't realize was there. So I guess it just kind of stuck with me. If you put the back facing out then I'm sure they'll notice there's text, even if they don't read it first. If they don't then you'll probably be getting a phone call or text. I wouldn't stress about it!

I agree with pp, it's a habit thing, people will usually just flip it over.

Personally, I would hit the scrapbooking section of a store and get a package of small arrows and place them on the bottom of the card. Might be weird to some brides, but hey, it works!

People flip papers to see the back of it, even if it is to see if you have a pretty design matching the design in front of your invitation - I think you’ll be fine. As much as I think placing the back facing up, I think my OCD would not let it get out the door that way. But it’s a good day to make sure everyone sees it

This is nice, and I may do the same because I'm not using RSVP cards

These are so beautiful! I love the designs, color, and wording so much! I think that your idea of putting them in back first would be a sure way to make sure that everyone sees it. It might not be my first instinct to flip the card over, but I would like to think that eventually I would. Minted is such a great website I am so excited to order my Invites from there!

Thanks so much!!! I actually had the floral design done by someone on Etsy. It was like $15 and then I could put whatever wording I wanted. She even customized the colors for me. Totally worth it!

Agree with everyone else- there is clearly a key piece of info missing on the front of the invite, most people will check the back before assuming that there is no way to RSVP to your wedding!

Me personally I would flip over my invite if I didn’t see the rsvp on the front but I think having the back facing forward is a great idea incase someone doesn’t automatically check the back.

Definitely put them with the back facing out so they see it. I got a save the day for a destination wedding and it took me forever to notice the back had other info we needed!
