rsvp help!

Hi everyone,
We had already sent out our invites before we decided to postpone. We did send out our postponement cards, but I was already getting rsvp responses back so I know I’ll need some opinions! I had wrote on the rsvp “please initial entree selection per guest”. We are having a plated meal and I need to color code our place cards depending on their meal choice. Only 1 out of several responses I got back put initials for their choices, everyone else just did numbers or check marks next to each option. Is there some better wording I can use or will I need to just follow up with everyone on who wants what?
I won’t be sending out new invites for a while; but was just trying to figure this out lol thanks in advance!
