Okay Yall so long story short, my invitations were delayed in shipping. We received them the same week my FH left for his bachelor party. I had already printed out address labels to make the process easier. Once we got them I sent a photo to my FMIL to show her and told her I was going to put the stickers on and have them in the mail within a day or two.
Well, FMIL says that we cant use stickers to address them. Insisting that it isn't personal enough and they need to be hand written. I do not understand but she was digging her heels in and I gave in and said Fine if its really that important I will hand write them all and hand write our address on the RSVP envelops too.
I work full time 40-60 hours a week and my FH has handwriting like a third grader so I was going to have to write them all myself. Both our families live far away. I spent two days writing out all the RSVP envelopes and addressing all the Invite envelopes to the point of my hands hurting (there were 175 to write)
My FH left for his bachelor party and I now had to arrange and stuff all the invites after working a 16 hour shift so that I could get them dropped in the mail on my way to work Saturday and not put off mailing them until monday so that people had plenty of time to RSVP.
Only since I was doing this all myself, and I was exhausted I completely forgot to number the RSVP Cards so that I would know who was sending them back.
Now we are getting our RSVP cards back, and they are filled out with the number of guests attending but I have absolutely no idea who sent them back! A few people put return addresses on the envelopes so I can check them off that way but atleast 1/3 of them I literally have no way of knowing who sent them.
Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas how I can solve this? We do not use/advertise out wedding website so I can just post there to let everyone know to write in on the RSVP who sent them back, and we dont use social media.
Did I royally mess this up? Should I send out a second batch of RSVP cards numbered?
