How far out before your wedding do you typically set an RSVP deadline for?

This depends on your venue/caterer's deadline for a headcount, but typically around 3-4 weeks from your date.

I would say about a week out from your earliest final count needed. For us, our caterer needs our final count 3 weeks out, so we made the RSVP date 4 weeks out. That last week allows us to get ahold of anyone who didn’t let us know by the rsvp date.

It Depends On Your Final Count Deadline And If You Have A Lot of Out Of Town Guests. My RSVP Deadline Is August 1st, Getting Married In October.

I would talk to your vendors and see when they need their final numbers. But typically around three weeks out.

Ours was 2 weeks before our final headcount was due. This allowed time to follow up with any late RSVP'ers (which we ended up not having).

I am August 1 wedding. I have my RSVP date for June 20. I know it is early, but my catering numbers by July 1! This gives me about a week and a half to hunt people down who haven't RSVP'd on time

At least a couple weeks to give yourself time to tally the responses and get in touch with anyone who didn't respond. Your caterer and venue need the final number. There is no reason to have a bigger gap than that as invites are sent out 6-8 weeks before the wedding.
