RSVP Date?

I'm making my RSVP date two weeks prior to my final head count to the caterer... which is two weeks before the wedding. So... looking at probably September 22 for me.

It could depend on what kind of notice your venue might need for meal counts. My venue requires a minimum of 2 weeks notice for the meal counts so I'm putting the RSVP date as 3 weeks before the wedding.

I am putting my RSVP date for the month before- August 21st. This gives me enough time for followup calls and to get the headcount in 2 weeks prior

Yep, 1 or 2 weeks before you final count is due (so no more than a month before your wedding) Your guest should have 3 - 4 weeks to decide if they are coming, so mail them out 5 or 4 weeks before the RSVP date. If you mail them out too early, people will put it aside because they will think "Oh, I have tons of time to reply to this," and they might forget to RSVP.

That seems about right. I think. I was just going to slap a September 20th on it and call it done, but I didn't know if there was some sort of expectation...

Nope... wouldn't say expectation... more like, keeping you sane knowing you have time to get in touch with people who do not respond. lol

My weddings 12/6/13 so will probobly make my RSVP November 15thsh not to sure yet I still have a ton of time lol
