rsvp date vs. Venue head count date

Tina, on October 26, 2019 at 9:05 AM Posted in Planning 0 10
What did everyone do in regards to the date you put on your RSVPs for your guests vs. the date the venue needs head count? I know sometimes you have to track down folks that don’t RSVP.

Our final numbers were due 10 days before our wedding and our RSVP date was 10 days before that. We didn’t end up having to reach out to too many people, but we wanted to give ourselves that buffer just in case.

We are having a destination wedding, so hotel plans must be made 1 month in advance for group hotel. I put that date on the invite. I know there will be some stragglers so it gives plenty of time for the venue date head count.

Our rvsp deadline was two weeks before our final guest count was due because we also had to give our seating chart at that point so we needed time to track people down and create our seating chart.

Our RSVP deadline is a week and a half before our final headcount is due.

Hi! I made the rsvp date for the invite a week before we had to give our headcount to venue. Worked perfectly.

I would recommend at least 10 days before you need to provide your final count because you will always have people you need to track down

My rsvp due date was October 25th and I had to give the venue by total head count by November at. Everyone got theirs in by our date, although we did hunt a few people down

Our wedding is Dec 31. The hotel had a book by date of Nov 30 so we told our guest to Rsvp by Nov 15. But our wedding venue didn't require the final head count until Dec 1. We knew we were going to have to hunt down some people so we just stuck with Nov 15, that gives us a few weeks to hunt people down

Our wedding is January 30th, but our RSVP's are requested back by December 1st, because we didn't want anyone to need to worry about it during the holidays or maybe overlook it. This way it's done and out of the way and we (hopefully) won't need to track anyone down while they're trying to celebrate the holidays with their family.
