rsvp card suggestion

Marina, on May 6, 2020 at 4:48 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 20
I'm worried my RSVP card looks a little cluttered. Can I remove "number attending"? Wondering if I can just get that info from the "name" section or does that typically not work? I saw "number attending" on a lot of other cards which is why I added it. Thanks!rsvp card suggestion 1

Oh we had tons of stuff on our card because everyone was traveling. I tried to keep it as clean and efficient as I could but we needed a lot of info. rsvp card suggestion 2

Thank you, this is great! With dietary restrictions, did people usually fill out who had it? (Example, one guest is vegetarian but their husband is not)

No they didn’t specify, but no one wrote anything we didn’t already know about. Plus we had a buffet so our goal with that line was to make sure there were enough options for someone who couldn’t eat what most people were eating. We had a few vegans and shrimp allergies.

We made ours two sided. We put the number invited on the front and the rest on the back. We didn't leave a space for dietary restrictions because our wedding planner assured us that those who have them will write them in.

Also, based on my experiences at work when we order meals for meetings, anytime there's an option for dietary restrictions, people write in their likes and dislikes, which is totally different! My bff said a lot of people did that for her wedding, too. I didn't want to give people that opportunity, lol.

That makes sense! We're doing a buffet but have a vegetarian plated option available but we need to give our venue the count for that ahead of time. How do you recommend wording that on the invite?

Sorry, super off topic , but where did you order your rsvps from? They match almost perfectly with our invitations. I’ve been looking all over for something similar 😀

I know people have had issues with extra people RSVPing, but every invitation I've gotten has had a pretty simple RSVP card, and I think most people understand that the invitation is only for those listed on the envelope.rsvp card suggestion 4
    This is what we're doing.

Honestly, I would keep it. Unless you are rounding up and using the reserved seat numbers only, your caterer and venue will need to get a final count of who is attending so they can provide enough food and chairs.

Sorry for the super late response, lol, but I see you haven't gotten an answer yet. We have plated dinner options, but maybe instead of listing beef, chicken, etc, maybe list buffet and vegetarian plate instead? We also had a separate line for each guest so we can keep track of who wants what. A bit nontraditional, but works for us. (We only had a few addresses with more than 2 guests, so that's why we could design our RSVP cards this way. We put two cards in one response envelope for the few we needed.)

I love that you have everything covered on your RSVP! I've been debating nixing the whole line about vegetarian/vegan meals and just putting a line asking for dietary restrictions.

I would have been all "Yes, I would like a grade a ribeye, mashed potatoes and salad. Thanks!!" No, I am kidding - I have no dietary restrictions. This girl loves to eat, lol!!!

    Best wishes!
