In the end - there was 215 ppl that we invited. And are final numbers are: 136 accepted & 79 declined. We knew that we were going to have a high decline rate (51x of the 79x were from OOS & airfare alone is about $500 per person round trip from there area). We are actually surprised by the amount of accepted that we received. A few cousins who I haven’t spoke to in a while were able to make it (I’m really excited about that), 1x of FH cousin’s who lives OOS is coming to spend the weekend (his wife was invited, but is staying home with their kids so he can get some adult family time). All of our friends are coming. I have to say that I was surprised - everyone who sent their response cards back remembered to include their names.
One major disappointment was FH grandfather is unable to make it. He lives out of state & is 95 & it is just too much on him to travel w/ his health & mobility. Not to mention that when he called to tell us he sounded so very sad - and said believe me, no one wants to be there more than I do. We def understand & have plans to make a weekend trip to see him in November, we are just a bit sad that he can’t be at the wedding.
I still have to finish the seating chart & then send my highly advanced spreadsheet (which has table numbers, guests, & food selection to the venue) by September 24th so they can confirm everything & invoice me (I will have my estimated costs - let’s see how precise my math is).
How is everyone else doing w/ their RSVPs?
