rsvp accommodation info?

Cuoghi, on January 13, 2018 at 12:12 AM Posted in Planning 0 12
Anyone with any great wording/way to ask people on the RSVP card where they will staying? People will be local, in multiple hotels, airbnbs.
Also, tacky to put price of hotels on website?
Thanks

I don’t feel comfortable asking where they’ll be staying.
I would only list the link of hotels.

Offer room blocks at certain hotels under your name and then ask the hotel how many were reserved. Put room block info on accommodations or details card, not rsvp though.

Why do you need to know where they are staying at?

If you do a room block (which I recommend), the hotel will tell you how many are staying

Tacky or not, I put prices on my website to better inform my guests, as my two hotels are at very different price points and I want to save them a call if possible.

It’s fine to give them information about places to stay, but it’s honestly none of your business where they’re staying.

If you make a hotel block the hotel should tell you how many guests booked rooms, I would only think you’d need that info for transportation or welcome bags. So get that from the hotel.

I've never seen an RSVP card ask guests where they will be staying.

Because why? We are having shuttles pick people up and they will also have tickets for our rehearsal dinner and welcome bags. I need to know.

I don't think my family or friends would be offended me asking where they are staying so I can arrange the rest of their activity-filled weekend with us. We have multiple hotel blocks and I know that many people will be in airbnbs (have already told me) because they have families and are making our wedding part of their summer vacation. Our rehearsal dinner/welcome dinner is at a baseball game so they will need tickets for this and theu cannot be left at will call. Think outside the cookie cutter wedding box.

IMO asking where people are staying is off putting at the least. The hotels where you have the room blocks should be able to tell you who reserved there.
Why do you need to know if people are in airbnbs Are you gonna have the shuttle go to each place someone is staying? That doesn't seem practical.
Have people RSVP for the RD and then send them the tickets. Problem solved.
