Round tables or rectangle?

I like how rectangle tables look with runners down the middle, but people can talk easier at round tables. What do you all say???

I love the way both look together! We did a mixture and I think it added some dimension to the room.

It also made it much easier when it came to the seating chart - there was a mixture of table for 8, 14 and 20. I've heard from people it's aggravating that saying it never works out in 8's or 10's like you want it to with only round tables.

We are doing a rectangle table for our head table and round tables for our guests. We chose the round tables for guests, because like you said, it is easier to talk with one another at a round table. I love the look of rectangular tables, but you are really stuck talking with the people to your front and sides. We are also doing rectangular tables for our cake/dessert table and card/gift table.

We're having round tables. It's not a big formal wedding so we thought the round tables would make it easier for everyone to talk and see who they're sitting with better.
