Round or rectangle?

Ma Anna, on December 17, 2019 at 6:43 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 16
I’m torn if I wanna do rectangle or round tables. Which one is better? What are you planning for your wedding? Which one you think you save better with centerpieces/decor? Any suggestions throw them my way Smiley smile thanks!!!

We did round tables because it makes it easier for guests to talk to one another during the reception. Rectangle tables only allow you to talk to the 2 or 3 people right around you.

I agree - I love the look of rectangle tables but round does make it easier for guests to socialize

We have a large group of close knit friends that we’ll have at a 32’ long rectangle table. The rest of the guests will be at rounds. The long table will have a garland down the middle, rounds will have more traditional floral centerpieces.

We had mostly round tables. I love the look, plus it was more space efficient!

We're doing rectangular because it fits out theme better (Celtic / Renaissance), round tables wouldn't fit in our venue well, and our venue only has rectangular. I personally don't socialize with everyone at round tables because I can never hear 2 people away from me. So, I'm not sure if that should be a deciding factor. My centerpieces will just be garlands, lanterns and candles, which may cost more than round table centerpieces since they have to cover more area.

We are doing a long rectangle for about 20-30 guests. Because the guest list stops at family, we thought it would be odd to only have a few round tables and to have to pick and choose which family sits with us

I think it depends on your guest count, rectangle tables provide a sense of intimacy for smaller groups, kinda like sitting at the dinner table with family. Rounds make it easier for guests to socialize, especially if you’re going to have a mixture of different groups attending the wedding (i.e: family, close friends, coworkers, etc)

I love the mixed look! I also didn’t want to deal with splitting up my local friends group. It just worked out that they exactly fit at our long farm table.

Lots of couples are using rectangle and circle tables. I think it adds a cool more hip vibe to the room.

I did round tables. i think they just work better with the guests because you can see everyone and talk a little easier. i feel rectangle is a little more informal but they do look nice also!

We used round tables for the guests to eat at and rectangle tables for the food, dessert, guestbook etc.

We are using both since our venue only provided 8 round tables! We will be doing a mix!

We're mixing. The venue provides rectangular farm tables that will be for the wedding party. They're super pretty so we won't be putting a table cloth down but will have a flowy chiffon runner and a eucalyptus garland down the center. The tables for the guests will be round, covered, and have centerpieces.
