Room Flip or Ceremony in reception area.

The thing with room flips is that they’re sometimes prepped so there could be tables out and mostly set up off to the side of the room. Also you just have to be out of the room immediately following the ceremony which means there typically isn’t much time (if any) for photos In that space afterwards. If you have an alternate location for photos (rain or shine) or your venue will give you & your photographer time in between flipping the room, it can be done quite nicely.

Do you have a coordination team? They’re so time sensitive I wouldn’t do a flip without hire help to knock it out quickly.

One of friends had a room flip for her wedding. It was no issue with picture as they were done outdoors, but it was awkward for the guest because there wasn't a good space for them to go. There was just a small-ish hallway with a staircase where they had a "photo booth" (photographer with a back drop) set up so that took up half of the space for guest to stand so most of the guest were just standing/sitting on the stairs for about 45 mins waiting for the reception to start.

Room flips can take a lot of work!! One way I've seen it done was that all the reception tables were already set-up but all pushed over to one side so they could set up a full ceremony area lined with indoor greenery - that helped them convert the room quickly while the guests were all outside for cocktail hour!
