Rock n Roll recessional song?

Harleybeachbride, on April 12, 2017 at 2:34 PM Posted in Planning 0 17

Hi everyone, I'm stumped about finding a cool Rock n Roll song for our recessional. I love 60's and 70's Classic Rock and my FH loves the same, plus a lot of 80's hair band stuff. We would love to pick a cool song that reflects our personalities, but for the LIFE of me I cannot think of a good one....I would love and appreciate any/all suggestions? Thank you Smiley smile

We're walking out to The Promise by When in Rome. Too pop-y?

We did More Human than Human by Rob Zombie- but it was instrumental- I am pretty sure absolutely no one knew but me and the people playing it what it was. But it mattered to me that we had a song that hubs liked.

I'm walking in to Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles - it would be a good recessional choice too. We are walking out to You're Makin' my Dreams Come True by Hall & Oates.

Both songs will be instrumentals on acoustic guitar. One guitarist plays the vocal melodies and the other plays the guitar part.

@catlady5x that is a GREAT idea for an intro song...love that! We are so far thinking Crazy Train by Ozzy but that may trump it, I like it! Smiley smile Do you think that would work as a recessional song too?? Smiley smile

How about Kiss I was Made for Lovin' You? Or Redbone Come and Get Your Love? Our recessional song is either gonna be You're my best friend by Queen or Lovely Day by Bill Withers. I was also thinking of Baby, I Love You by the Ramones for the wedding party, but that could also potentially work as a recessional.

@catlady5x - haha yes I know what you mean...lol I could have the DJ start the song as we have our first kiss then we walk out, followed by our BP and parents for pics! This could work...thanks! Smiley smile

For a small beach wedding last evening, their recessional song was "We are Family" because the bride's family was so happy to welcome the groom (who has no family).

The evening before, at an art gallery, the English couple's recessional song was "Ain't That a Kick?" an oldie by Dean Martin.

@ Nancy T - I was seriously thinking of "We are Family" because our BP is all family and our parents and direct family members will follow us out down the aisle after for pics...was it cute, did it seem fitting as a recessional as I wasnt sure?? Smiley smile

I'm using it for our kids to walk down the aisle before us. It's fitting since we're blending and we're up for fun💜💞
