When my RB hes 10 is walking with the rings on the pillow are they supposed to be in a box or just laying on the pillow?

Most ring bearer pillows have ribbons to tie the rings down, though over certainly seen people use boxes or even fake briefcases. If you're at all worried about him losing the rings, you can always give him an empty box or fake rings and leave the real ones with the best man.

What Sara said! My ring bearer pillow has ribbons where you tie the rings to!

I’ve never actually seen a ring bearer carry the rings. Normally they carry a sign or something. Sometimes a pillow but I’ve never seen the actual rings on it. Normally people only trust the best man or officiant to hold onto the rings.

We're giving our RBs boxes to carry the rings.

Ours had a box with greenery and fake rings. The best man had the rings. We did no pillow.

Our officiant specifically requested we NOT tie rings to a pillow/anything because then she/we would have to fumble with it in front of everyone to try to untie them. Usually I’ve seen the best man hold the rings, and the ring bearer just there for show. I think a 10 year old is responsible enough to carry the real rings, but I’d definitely keep them in some type of box so that they’re secure.

My theme is chic and rustic. I will have my daughter hold a wooden box with the rings inside with our initials on it .

This is the little ring box I made. My ring bearer is only 5 but the rings are very secure in there so I may just have him carry them, I figure he’ll be fine from the beginning of the aisle until the end where I will have him pass them to the best man.

We aren't having a ring bearer, but if we were, I'd just have them carry a sign or an empty box or fake rings. I'd be too nervous to give him the real rings. Heck, I'm even nervous about out best man having them! Hah
