Rings...

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this but gonna give it a shot.

I was gifted two rings by my future family-in-law, one wedding ring set from my future mother-in-law, and one set from my Fiances great Aunt and Uncle.

I am currently using the engagement ring from my future mother-in-law but am planning to resize the one from my Fiances great aunt to use on the day of my wedding and to wear after we are married.

Im just not sure of the etiquette for having/using two different rings is as no one in my family has had this issue before.

Does anyone have any advice on this?

I would not be wearing them together as they are two complete and separate sets. I just want to make sure there isn't any etiquette surrounding using two different sets of family rings that I dont know about.

I think if you chose to wear the one your FMIL gave you, I’d be sure to tell her if you don’t plan on wearing it once you’re married. In addition to the fact that she might be disappointed, she may want them back to hang on to for another family member if you won’t be using them. I’d want to make sure she had a heads up so she wasn’t finding out at the wedding.

You could wear both and rotate based on your outfit. Eventually you could take the stones and have your own ring designed . my mother hinted at me using her first expensive wedding band. SOOOO not my style or metal choice. My FMIL gave me her wedding ring and its beautiful but the diamond is to big to be practical for day to day wear cause of the type of manual labor i have to do in my job. It will eventually be worn on special occasions only
