Rings that are too small for knuckles. Leave them on at night? 1
I have realised that I have very large, fleshy knuckles and slender fingers since getting engaged. Even if I am gentally pushing the ring from the underside if the finger, the result is that it is torturous to get my rings on and off. My fingers are red, purple and swollen from trying to get my rings past the knuckles. Once on and the swelling from the knuckle trauma has gone down, the rings are slightly even large and spin at times. Should I size up a bit to be able to get them on and off more comfortably or should I just reside to always keeping them on while I shower, clean and sleep?

Do not keep them on 24/7. That can cause swelling.

Talk to an independent jeweler about adding a hinge or a latch to your ring. It's meant for fingers like yours so you can open the ring, get it over the knuckle, and close the ring

I would go to a jeweler. I also have large knuckles, and my family jeweler suggested sizing up and then adding sizing beads. Less noticeable than a latch like PP suggested (which may still be needed depending on your specific fingers)

I am having this exact same problem! My engagement ring fits just fine but when I had my wedding rings soldered to it, the whole thing became too thick and is causing issues. My jeweler suggested giving it a month, but that was before I had to stop wearing it all together this weekend. I am going to probably end up having him make the ring 1/4 to a 1/2 size bigger. It is just too uncomfortable.

I would get your ring resized to fit more comfortably past your knuckle and then add "bumps" or "beads" on the inside of the band so that it fits you properly once the ring is past your knuckle. I, too, have a wider knuckle and almost half size smaller finger, and the "bumps" added on the inside of my band solved the problem!

I think you should get it resized or add a hinge to it which will make it more comfortable to wear and remove the ring and hope after that this issue will not come
