I know ring warming has been a common topic on the threads these days, so thought I would share with those of you who are considering incorporating it into your ceremony. My officiant hasn't done one before, so she was really hesitant to work it in. But, we talked through logistics, and we're on the same page. Because we anticipate more than 100 guests, we're limiting the passing of the rings to our immediate family in the first couple rows. Here's our verbiage, and the basic flow of how we plan to do it.
Ring Warming Announcement - after her intro, towards the beginning of the ceremony:
As the ceremony proceeds, will the families of Noel and Matthew please warm these rings by passing them down the row. Hold them for but a moment and warm them with your love, making a silent wish for the future this couple will share. These rings will not only be a gift from one to another but will be given with the love, support and wisdom of their families.
