Hello everyone! I now this is not the first (or last) ring thread but I had to! My ring came yesterday and I’m just beside myself. So in love with it and I am not a jewelry person. Quick story (and then I want to hear yours, too!) Driving home, the idea popped into my head my FH and I should get rings with the other’s birthstone. He liked the idea, so the lovely ring of mine has his birthstone- Alexandrite. Turquoise band was just a major plus because it’s my favorite color. My birthstone is a diamond (we find that funny) so his ring has 7 little BLUE diamonds which look like they’ll compliment my ring perfectly. What’s your ring story? Post your rings!!!

That’s so cool! Really unique! Love the colors.
I love rubies. It is also my birth stone. I also just like the color red for most stuff.
I also have a thing for halo and cushion cut rings so I combined all that for my engagement ring

Gorgeous, and I love the idea!
I hate diamonds. They are NOT my thing.
On the flip side, purple is my color. Like... it's a weird day when I'm not wearing or carrying something purple.
I was also really set on getting a ring that was conflict-free, so I found a seller on Etsy who uses lab-made gems. So, this is a lab-made purple sapphire.

That’s awesome! We feel the same about diamonds and all the garbage that can come with some of them. Both our rings are lab made stones. I got mine from Etsy too! I’m beyond pleased with it.

I'm obsessed with my Australian Opal ring!!! It has a full range of colors, depending on the light (all of the rainbow!) And is surrounded by over 40 individually set diamonds, with a white gold band.
When my fiance asked what I wanted in a ring I made him a PowerPoint presentation of ideas and specifics like band material and size LOL
Bonus! The opal is from this random opal miner in Australia who is just a dad who mines opals on the side, and I love that! We actually found him on Instagram haha, he doesn't even have a website or store lol

That’s awesome!!! I love all these unique rings on here, and glad to know i am not the only one who hates diamonds!!!
I custom designed my ring and found a place to make it at, ruby for future husbands birthstone, and blue topaz for mine! And i found a unique twist band on amazon for the wedding band!!! Future husband bought a solid yellow gold band for his ring with the inscription “I found the one whom my soul loves. i held her and would not let her go” on the inside of it!! He designed his ring as well! I dont have pics yet of his ring tho

My FH slaved over finding a ring that would fit my tiny fingers (size 4.5) and not look like it was trying to take over my entire hand. I am not a ring person, generally, but I knew I wanted to wear my engagement ring all the time after I got it!

He bought the ring blank online and originally had a lab-made sapphire to go in it. His old boss, who is also a close friend, sent it to his aunt who is a jeweler to set the stone and she offered to set a diamond that she already had in it instead.

I love your ring story so here is mine
My fiancé and I were shopping for my ring and found a beautiful set the lady said my it wasn’t a set just 2 rings that go together . I fell in love with my wedding ring so he bought both my engagement ring doesn’t look like much when it’s by itself but my wedding ring makes it look so much better my fiancé did good

Just popping in to say I love all these unique rings.
No offense to ladies with their diamonds, as diamonds are lovely, too!
But I love that other stones are coming back in style again.
If I were a stone sort, I would probably have a ruby. I look best in red, and it's also my husband's birthstone and the stone of the month in which we got married.

I am very much not a diamond person. Attached is my engagement ring and the custom wedding band I am having made. I love opals. I picked out my engagement ring with my fiancé. We went to every jewelry store in our local mall and I just fell in love with this ring. It was super unique (and inexpensive) which I love. Then I wanted a custom band to complement my engagement ring.
