Ring things...let’s see your’s too!

Mrs.a, on July 19, 2020 at 1:39 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

I’m looking for a wedding band that will match not only the shape, but also the color of my engagement ring. I didn’t know there were different finishes or colors for white gold and ultimately bought a band that doesn’t match the shape or color of my engagement ring. Since we’re planning an elopement and vow renewal my FH offered to buy a wedding band to match my engagement ring and we would use the other ring for our vow renewal and I can wear it on my right hand.

What are your thoughts on these bands? I know they’re entirely different and give a different look. We’re doing a celestial theme for our wedding so I thought a celestial ring would be sweet, but would it go or should I do something that matches the aesthetic of the ring? FH & I Love the both! They would be in palladium white gold.

I think the second would pair well with the leaf detailing on your engagement ring.

Thanks! Always appreciate your input Melle Smiley smile

I was thinking of having a meteorite stone added to it to add a celestial element.

Thanks! I think it “Matches” the ring much better in terms of it looking seamless.

Number 2 does match and fit the engagement ring better.

However, I think number 1 is gorgeous and would work better as a stand-alone wedding band. I also don’t think it’s so mismatched that it would look out of place.

Thanks...if I get number 1 I was thinking of having it customized to be contoured with the shape of the engagement ring Smiley smile

My FH designed my engagement ring... so there was no matching band. I actually took it to a local jeweler and they matched it perfectly... and they had a COVID deal where all bands were discounted and we got his band free. I was planning on just doing to see what fit best and go online to buy as well.

That’s awesome! My engagement ring was handmade by an artisan in Norway, she sells on Etsy. She also designed the second band. I contacted her about designing a band for it too...hopefully she’ll have some drawings for me this week Smiley smile

I think the 2nd one will look best with your engagement ring. That being said, I LOVE that first band! So unique and pretty!

Thanks! I know when I saw the first one I was like over the moon. But I’m wondering if it compliments the engagement ring or if it’s too different.
