Ring problems

Haley, on December 27, 2019 at 6:06 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 14
Okay does anyone else have the issue of their ring falling from side to side on their finger and not staying up? My ring has been such an issue lately and I thought maybe I had the wrong size but I went to the ring shop and they said if o went a size smaller it wouldn’t fit. So I found a fix to my issue and I wanted to share it with everyone just in case they are struggling with the same thing. I got these things added to my ring called sizing beads and they have been magic to making my ring stay in place. The place my ring was bought from was able to do this for me.

My engagement ring is heirloom that was way too big so I got it resized. In the warm weather it's snug but in cold weather it flops to one side. I'll look into sizing beads like you mentioned or other ring adjusters.

I have ring adjusters and highly recommend it. I didn’t want to add beads cause during the summer it fits snug, but during the winter it flops side to side. I sent some ring adjusters to my sister and she’s using them too.

Yeah that’s a good idea to. I tried both and ended up liking the sizing beads better just because my fingers swell a lot and it helps with staying fit to my finger no matter what.

I think either the adjusters or the beads will work well for what we need! I just don’t want to get it resized multiple times because I read it’s not good for the ring!

Got mine resized when I was at my heaviest, and then I lost thirty pounds. 😬👍 Now it spins and I need to get it sized down. I tried a few things, and right now I have a spiral rubber coil to take it down a size. Not perfect but works for the moment!

When I wear my engagement ring alone, yes it does tend to fall to the side at times. I know my fingers can get swollen at times too, so I don’t want to resize it any further because it fits great for the most part. But I noticed when I wear my wedding band with my ring, it doesn’t fall to the side. Have you tried wearing both together?

Yeah when I wear both together it is better but I went ahead and got the beads just because when my fingers are not swollen it is really loose

I noticed that too. I know the tradition is to wear the wedding band closest to your heart, but I think I’ll wear it last to hold my ER in place. It’s weird, putting the rings side by side and they’re the same size... 🤷‍♀️

I mean this is me being boujie but you could also get another band to put on the other side of the ring so you have one on each side.. im not sure what your ring looks like but mine looks so good with 2 bands on it.. of corse my FH doesn't want to pay for 2 bands lol so im making for it for our 1st year anniversary gift Smiley shame

You know I’ve thought about it 🤣 Cause our jeweler has suggested it. But I’ll see what it feels like after wearing it...59 more days left!

I don’t want to solder them together and if there are 2 bands moving around...plus it’s pricier to make another custom band compared to buying a plain gold band. I want all the shiny things!!!
