ring guard/wrap

Nicole, on November 14, 2016 at 10:46 AM Posted in Planning 0 7

I had my heart set on a ring wrap instead of a single band wedding ring. When I told a coworker my idea she said, those are so 90s and outdated. Is she right? I want something that will stay classy throughout my entire marriage.

I'm most definitely doing the ring guard especially because my ring is a single diamond it makes it stand out more... I love a classic anyway... Pooch her lol

I love my guard and cant wait to wear it everyday. I think it complemented my e ring better than single band. Go with what you want its your ring not hers. Smiley smile

I do think they look a little dated but if you love them then get what you want... who cares what others think of it. I like the look of a solitaire with an anniversary band personally.

If they were outdated, stores wouldn't have loads of options for them!

I love how they look with some rings. If you find one you like and can afford, go for it! I almost did, but I wanted something I could wear alone without my ER.

I liked the enhancer/wraps in the beginning for symmetry...but then a friend of mine pointed out that she got a band because she wanted it to look like a ring and a band; enhancers just make it look like you have one single, larger ring.

I personally think whatever you do is fine, and you should do what you like, but that stuck with me. I realized I very specifically like how the band indicates "married" and I chose not to do an enhancer because of that.

If you find one and like it then go for it! I almost did something similar, I think they called it an accent band though? But I decided not to simply because it was way more expensive in our case. You're the one that will be wearing it!

I think is depends on what your engagement ring looks like. Personally, mine looks much better with a single band. If you love a ring guard though, go for it! Your the one who will be wearing it, it's important for you to love it.
