Ring guards

Tam, on January 4, 2017 at 11:10 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 8

Hi guys! Sorry I'm on app so I can't search but how much are sizing beads usually and where do you get them? My ring is kind of loose. Not loose enough to fall off but loose enough to be uncomfortable cause it spins around.

Not familiar with "sizing bead" but search for ring guard or ring sizer. I had to get one. The only downside is that you put it on after your ring and vice versa when taking off, its a pain to keep up with it. I dont want to re-size my ring due to it being an "in between" size. Without the guard my ring fits fine in the morning but as the day goes by and I use my hands more it feels loose. Also, there are metal ones you can put on rings but they may scratch the band.

Did you check your local jewelry store?

Not going to lie. I read the title and thought something completely different...I would probably edit that to say ring guard.

Sizing beads are soldered on to your ring usually at a jewelry store. I would go to your local trusted jeweler and talk to them

@Kendra oh that does seem like a pain but I don't want to get mine resized either cause it fits fine sometimes but I guess when I get cold and such my finger shrinks.. but im scared itd be too tight if I resized it.

@Jamie LOL I couldn't think of what else they would be called. Thanks

Thanks guys! I guess I shouldve gone to the jewelry store first but I just wanted to be lazy and order something off online lol.

I have the exact same problem! Glad it's not just me. When I'm cold, my ring is always falling to the sides or turning backwards. It's fine in normal temperature though. I'm getting the sizing rings at my local jewelry store.

I have a ring guard that is attached to my ring. I can "resize" the ring as I need it. It cost me $20 through Zales. It has been a life saver!
