So long story short my fiance got my engagement ring from JCPenney's and got the lifetime warranty on it. I read through the pamphlet about the warranty and didn't see anything about if I had to get inspected or anything to keep it covered. It's a solitaire so I worry if I hit one of prongs I could lose my stone and I would would have a band with no stone.

Anyone have a ring with lifetime warranty from JCPenney's?

I don't have a ring from JC Penney, but I think it's worth looking into separate jewelry insurance. We got my ring from Jared, which offers a lifetime warranty on damages only. I have to go in twice a year to get it inspected in order to keep the warranty. I got my ring appraised at Jared, then submitted that appraisal to Jeweler's Mutual for insurance. It's $25/year and it covers damages AND loss.

I was planning on going in and talking to them, I don't really want to talk about it over the phone with someone lol. I'll look into separate insurance too, good idea.

I think it is important to point out that the insurance premium is based on your location and the value of the ring! I live in New York and my ring premium through Jeweler’s Mutual is a little over $150 for the year. That is still cheap to me considering how much it would cost to replace.
