ring bearer and flower girl age difference

jennifer, on September 2, 2016 at 2:04 AM Posted in Planning 0 17

Is it ok to have a 5 year old flower girl and 8 year old ring bearer? Im not certain on the rules or social norms for this situation.

I see no problem with it. Our FG is going to be 9 and our RB will be 4. The RB is also a girl. If those two kids are the ones you want to honor, it's fine.

My little cousin is my "cotton" girl and she is 11 and my RB is 14! I wanted someone closer to her age

Eta: clarifying. I mean he is closer to her age compared to the 3 year old i was gonna use! Smiley smile

Thank you. he is kind of shy and she is extremely outgoing so hopefully it will work out.

My FG was 2.5 and my RB was 7. My FG walked with her mom (a bm) and my RB walked alone. I don't think the age difference matters.

Yep my RB and FG will be those exact ages for my wedding, they're brother and sister though, but why would that be a problem?

My rb will be 6 (my son) and fg will be 13 months. My older son (11) will help her down the aisle whether she is walking or in a wagon or whatever

Age difference sounds fine. Ours are the same age but that's because Fiance's niece and nephew are twins

There's no set age for either. My RB is a 7 year old girl and my FG is a 3 year old girl. I hadn't planned on having them in my wedding at first but I had a complete blonde moment when I asked both the FG's parents to be in my wedding. Lol Some times you just got to roll with it. My FG is very excited to be in the wedding she's been practicing every day for it. I figured if I asked someone she knew very well she wouldn't get as nervous with people staring. That can be hard on a kid.
