Reviews on AdoreMe?

RedThunder, on January 26, 2016 at 4:58 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 18

I've been considering purchasing lingerie from this site but I've noticed mixed reviews, not necessarily on the products, but on their "VIP membership".

Does anyone have experience with this site? Thanks

I'm mainly asking because I found something I really liked but was hesitant to pull the trigger on a membership site :[

I've heard mixed reviews as well. I belong to a few membership sites but i can log in and skip months, or I deactivate accounts.

You can also skip months on Adore Me, and one perk that I like that they offer is even if you forget to skip the month, they let you go in later and do it anyway. I hated about other sites if you forgot, too bad. I've ordered a couple things from them so far, and it's good quality, but their sizing is kind of weird for different products. I got a large undies that came with part of a set and it fit perfectly, but then when I ordered medium size ones on their own in a different product style they were too big.... sooo yea lol

I had pretty good luck with AdoreMe. They let you skip, and if you forget to skip you can get refunded up to 15 or 30 days after the deadline.

Their lingerie, on the other hand, hasn't been as comfortable as I was hoping. This could be personal taste and my hard to fit body, though. Fortunately you can cancel any time, so after I had 2 or 3 items not fit me well, I cancelled. The product seems to be good quality and looks great.

I've been a member for about a year now and they're good. Their sizes tend to run a little small and I definitely only wear the lingerie and not the bra and panties sets because the sizes are weird (at least for me). As far as the VIP membership goes, if you don't click "skip the month" they will automatically charge you $39.99 but you can click skip the month, or click the refund button, at anytime in case you forget so it's really free, the membership itself is well set up.

I haven't had any issues skipping months, but some of their bras run small and the underwear is not comfortable for me--too much lace and trim, although it is pretty. The lingerie is better.

I've only bought one bra and panty set from them but I really liked it. I ordered my regular sizes and they fit fine, but I found the bra cups to be a little narrow? I don't know how else to describe it. The cups aren't too small, it's just like I wanted more space between the boobs maybe. I'm not sure exactly, but it doesn't stop me from wearing it. This was also a somewhat common review on that particular bra I purchased, so I don't think they're all like that. The quality is really good, I was shocked actually at the quality for the price you pay. You can skip the month like other people said, and I think they give you 5 days or something like that to do so, and they send you an email reminder. You can also just cancel your VIP membership after you make your purchase. I say go for it!

Canceling is much harder than it sounds. Just an FYI. I've been skipping months for about a year because I don't want to jump through their hoops in calling them again.

This sounds a lot like the Fabletics VIP system. .. you have new sets of athletic gear each month and have to "skip the month" if you don't want to buy anything. If you want to cancel you have to call. I've been doing it for a year because I'm too lazy to call and cancel. It seems like Adore me is similar if not a little easier. I mean if you're on the Internet often anyways, it's worth a try. Their sets seem cute

I might try it then. They had a lace robe that I loved and would only be $25 for my first purchase so maybe I'll try.

Can you cancel online or do you have to call them?

You have to call them. That's the biggest issue with canceling.

Yeah that's what gets me. If I can't simply cancel my sub online, then that's just more strings attached :/

FH bought me a set as a surprise and didn't read all of the details. He was signed up for a VIP membership and had a really hard time canceling. Yes, you can get the charges refunded relatively easy, but it took a bit of work to actually get them to cancel the account. The wording on the web site is very vague on how to cancel. The items weren't bad for the price they had ($40 for a set) but it wasn't worth the headache of trying to get it canceled.

It seems like if they modified their business model just a tad, they might actually have more customers.

    They sound very off putting.

I got the membership, but have only purchased one bra and panty set, and have chosen to skip all the other months. It's really not a big hassle to skip a month, but you do have to remember to do it. I initially wasn't impressed with the quality of the first set that I bought, and was going to cancel my membership altogether, but FH liked it a LOT, so I decided to stick around. lol

Seriously- it's not worth it- it's over priced and you can get it else where without the hassle of a membership.

Here is a review I wrote on Adore Me! I work for another lingerie subscription company so we decided to try them out ... I end up talking a lot about the quality of their products in relation to their price point. I also break down this idea of "designer lingerie" and the standards it entails. I'm sure you all love lingerie as much I do so let me know what you guys think! https://theenclosed.com/blog/adore-me-quality/
