Revelry Disaster

Brooke, on January 19, 2022 at 1:46 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

I could not have been more disappointed with this company, and I really wanted to like it. I was excited about Revelry because they have a "try before you buy" option. I had 6 dresses in all sent to try on, at $10 per dress. When I picked the dress I liked, I placed an order, and waited patiently for 16 weeks for the dress to arrive. When it did, it was not the dress style I ordered, but one I have never seen and is considered a maternity option. I immediately called the headquarters to inquire about getting the correct dress sent, and they informed me that there was not enough time to send me another dress before the wedding, even though it was again NOT the dress I ordered or ever tried on for that matter. I then asked for a refund, so I could at least try to find a bridesmaids dress elsewhere. I was told that all sales are final and they will not issue a refund. They were completely unsympathetic and rude. Not once did they admit fault or offer any other solution. I was in tears telling them that without the right dress or a refund, I would not be able to be a bridesmaid since I am unable to pay for a second dress. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I'm so sorry you went through this. One of the bad sides of ordering online and not all experiences are even like this. Could be be possible to resale the dress and/or go to a department store like David's bridal to find something? Again I'm sooo sorry to heard this.

Oh wow, this is terrible customer service! I don’t know any company that would not at least refund your money on a dress that they sent you an error! I would immediately email their customer service and put all of this in writing (you definitely want to have this in writing in case you have to report them). Make sure you keep it short and factual, stressing that they sent you the wrong dress and you now either need a refund for their error, or they need to overnight you the correct dress, free of charge. I would then call them back and demand to speak to a supervisor. If a supervisor cannot correct the situation, ask to speak to their supervisor. If that person also cannot do anything for you, I would tell them you will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and your state’s Attorney General to report their unethical behavior. No reputable business wants to deal with either of these entitIes, so hopefully they will be more willing to work with you.

I also wanted to add, if they still refuse to refund you or overnight you a new dress, really do follow through and report them! I have seen many people get their money back after reporting businesses to the BBB!
