Returning a dress to David's Bridal

Allie, on January 25, 2019 at 12:00 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

Has anyone ever returned their dress to David's Bridal? I know you can't get a refund but do they give a store credit? If so, how long is it valid for?

I purchased mine a few weeks ago and you can return it in exchange for something else and I think you have 28 days. The dress also has to be unaltered, unwashed, unworn and still have the original tags attached.

28 days from the time you purchased to exchange?

Yes. If it was purchased from a store, you can return it to the store. If it was purchased online, you have to ship it back, it cant be taken back to a store. David's Bridals website has the instructions on how to ship back any items purchased online.

How long has it been? Is it a wedding dress or a bridesmaid dress?

Based on what I’ve seen other brides talk about here, it may vary by store. But, it seems like even though all receipts for a final sale, a lot of brides have been able to exchange a dress for one of equal or greater value (And paying the difference of course). Might just need to plead your case to a manager Or try another location if the original one says no

I did this for my first wedding. They required that I pick a new dress the day I wanted to exchange the dress I didn’t want anymore. As someone else mentioned though, it’s possible this varies by store.

Kenisha, who is really active on here returned her dress from David's and got a new one. Not sure how long she had it.

I feel like it varies by store, they tell me different things depending on which store I call and who I talk to lol. I would ask the store you bought it from

Yes. I did. They probably won't take a return but may do an exchange if you have a valid reason and have not done alterations. When they ordered my dress in my size I complained that the material was itching me to death. I told them in no way could I wear that dress in the heat for an entire day. The waist was also bunching bc of the material. They allowed an exchange in their store for a dress of the same price or more.
