Return vs Response address

Devin, on January 28, 2019 at 8:39 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Hey guys, we decided to go with send and seal invitations. But what's the difference between the return address and the response address?

The return address is the address in the top left corner of the invitation envelope, usually your address. The same as any other letter, if there was an issue with USPS, it would go back to that address.

The response address is the mailing address on the RSVP card or RSVP envelope. Usually your same address, but if someone else was handing your RSVPs for you, or if for some reason you didn’t want the RSVPs to come to your house, it would be the address where you want them to go. Could be a parent, sister, wedding planner, etc.

We used them as well and we were very happy with them.

The return and response address can be the same. They print the return address on the back flap. They print the response address on the tear off postcard that the guests are returning to you.
