Return Address Stamps

Breezy, on September 20, 2016 at 6:16 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 28

I feel like this is such a bizarre/lame question, but I'm about to order a return address stamp (I'm terrible at free hand) and I'm not sure what's better.

Did you guys use self inking stamps or stamps with the ink separate?

I'm not sure if self inking stamps "bleed" or not and I really don't want to waste any envelopes.

What do you recommend?

Thanks in advance!

I used a self inking stamp, and I didn't have any trouble with the ink bleeding through. We ordered from an etsy shop called StampLuxe.

Check Groupon for deals! And self inking for sure.

I want to try the ink stamp. I think it will look nicer.

I found a Groupon for Rubberstamps.com and the one that we ordered, it is a self inking and works great! They even threw in a "Thank-You" stamp plate so we can use that on our thank you cards after the wedding!

I used self inking. I used a circular monogram instead of the regular rectangle to make it a little more fancy.

I would get the ink separate. I got a self inking stamp, tested it and it was horrible. I ended up selling my house recently so I can't even use the stamp anymore Smiley sad keep an eye out for living social or groupon. That's where I got mine.

Haha, I was looking at these this weekend. We're going to try a self-inking.

Self inking will eventually dry out. It'll be fine for the invites but if you want to use it after you might want a regular one to get your money's worth out of it

I got a custom stamp from Etsy, ink separate. Im Not worried about the ink running getting an ink pad from a printing shop

We ordered a stamp for this reason- it helped a lot and I like the way it looked!

Be careful and maybe practice before you stamp your RSVP envelopes if you don't have extra- it can come on a little thick and hard to read if you don't know the exact amount of pressure to apply (speaking from experience!)

I ordered one off of Etsy with my current last name and parents' address- I plan on giving the stamp to them so it doesn't go to waste!

I got a self inking stamp from etsy!

    I LOVE it!

I have been using it just for mail until I send STDs and Invites and I have had no issues with bleeding of ink. It's adorable and the self inking saves me a second or two Smiley smile

I actually got some return address labels from an office supply store and decorated them on Microsoft Office. Super cheap, super easy, and super effective.

Self inking stamp. We got ours from American Stationary and just stamped about 100 envelopes. No issues!

I did the same one @Lilly did, turned out really nice. Self inking is easy/ less messy. I used the extra ' Thank You' stamp for my favors.

I had a set of sticker ones custom made on etsy to match our invites and they got compliments galore! Were only $8 too!

I actually used the pre made labels. But if it's a stamp I think the self inking would be easier for you!

I ordered a rubber stamp and then purchased a few different color ink pads. I'll be able to use the stamp for everything! Red or green for Christmas cards this year for sure!

I got both and prefer the self inking ones.
