return address on RSVP

Judi, on February 25, 2017 at 3:22 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 4

Hello Everyone - prepping our RSVP cards to send out next month - Do I leave the return address blank so people can write in their own? Do I write my address for both mailing and return? (I've seen some companies do this)...

I know the post office will not mail without a return address...

    The post office mailed a ton of mine with no return address, we keep getting cards back with nothing but the yes/no boxes checked. I left it blank so the guests could fill theirs in.

    ETA: mine are postcards so slightly different from those in envelopes I suppose.

    We didn't write return addresses on the RSVP envelope and I got plenty back with no return addresses on them. Not even a name where the return address would be.

    Ok good to know the PO will send it but (since i'm printing my own envelopes) I may preprint a return address or at least a return name, so that I know who is sending it back

    I'm glad I asked Smiley smile

    You can also subtly number the cards and add those numbers to your guest list. Then you know who they are from if they dont write anything
