Restaurant Supply Stores

PrissiePants, on July 26, 2019 at 10:46 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 11

For my wedding reception, I am buying mistmatched plates. I have found great deals on drinking glasses and wine glasses as well.

I had been looking at multiple restaurant supply stores online searching for flatware. I did not want the most basic, cheap flatware. Instead, I wanted something that fit my vintage look so that created a slight challenge.

I found a pattern called Claridge by Update International that seemed to fit my style. But the best prices I could find with shipping were 25 cents a piece. So I kept looking. Yesterday I saw someone mentioned LionsDeal in a forum discussion on WW so I checked it out. I found the Winco Elegance pattern which also fit my style. By putting that into google, I found Kitchen Restock dot com.

I purchased all my flatware for my reception for $99.70 shipped.

36 ice tea spoons

120 salad forks

120 dinner forks

120 table spoons

72 knives

If you are also looking for flatware, I recommend LionsDeal and KitchenRestock. Both have great prices and reasonable shipping!

Wow those look nice! What were you planning to do with all the cutlery and plates afterwards?

Wow - that's a crazy deal! I'd be interested to hear what you think about them once they're delivered - will they stand up to expectations? We're looking at renting flatware, but I think those prices are cheaper than the rental fee.

Certain plates I definitely want to keep, but I will sell most of them. I plan to sell the flatware and glasses as well.

They have good reviews so I am hopeful. I couldn't wrap my head around the cost to rent mismatched plates, glasses and flatware. I knew I could buy it for that, if not less, and then sell it at my cost so it was a net zero at the end of the day.

Yeah, rental prices can be kind of crazy - you're definitely paying some for the convenience of not having to deal with everything at the end of the night. Keep us posted once all your things are delivered!

I found my drinking glasses on fb market. A lady had bought them for her daughter's wedding and never even took them out of the box.

I found my wine glasses at a local thrift store. They're the generic libbey glasses. Scored 30 of them for $11!

I'm so jealous. My SO insists on renting. I will be buying tablecloths by god! Don't care what she says.
